Helkon Water - how it works:

Water treatment is completely physical and not chemical.

The working principle is simple and complex at the same time. Water flows between a high intensity magnetic field caused by permanent natural magnets.

The Calcium Carbonate Crystal, which is present in water, has a special shape called calcite. It makes sediments in the pipes and instruments as limestone.

Through the magnetic field of the Helkon Water ionizer, the crystal drastically reduces its size changing its shape becoming more tapered. The crystal originates a precipitate, called aragonite, similar to talc, which keeps itself in suspension avoiding any kind of encrustation. Moreover the Helkon Water ionizer causes the progressive dissolution of the limestone as well as other kind of encrustations (i.e. iron oxide) already present (calcite becomes aragonite) perfectly cleaning pipes and instruments.

Such a result is very important on an economic basis as the limestone encrustations in the pipes and apparatus cause an incredible waste of both mechanical and thermal energy (loading waste and reduced heating exchange). The in line installation of the Helkon Water ionizer allows to reduce the running costs of an installation improving its efficiency.

With applications of the Helkon Water ionizer the following is obtained:

• All the salts and carbonates crystals in water are transformed into precipitates (i.e. the Calcium Carbonate crystal changes in Aragonite).

• Positive ion changes in negative ion.

• Water tends to be basic.

• Molecular cohesion decreases.

As a consequence we obtain:

1. The selection of the ionizer must be made in function of the following water parameters:

• Total hardness

• Constant residual

• Electric conductivity

• pH

2. For waters with particular parameters, the ionizer will be designed and manufactured  according to 

    the required specifications.

All Helkon Water ionizers  are made with natural  permanent  magnets for obtaining magnetic fields with high intensity. The models are manufactured according to the type of water to be treated and the type of the application.

Materials:                        

• External body: anticorodal with varnishing to resin epossi-polyestere certified not  toxic or  stainless

  steel AISI 304/316/316L

• Internal body: passing pipe stainless steel AISI 304/316/316L 

Attachment: border or flanged ( standard from 1/8” gas to 10” flanged ) 

Applications: for drinking and industrial water with physical structure very different for the salts and 

                     carbonates.

                                            C) greater than 100 °F there are special models.    

Flow rate: standard models  from 0,05 liter/minute to  9.000 liter/minute; for superior flow rate  

Temperature: standard up to 80 °C; for superior temperature there are special models. 

Dynamic pressure: standard 10 bar; for superior dynamic pressure up to 200 bar there are special

                              models.                          

Conformity: CE and DM 443/ 21.12.90 for drinking water.
